Married, one 12 yr old step son and a new recruit on his way arriving sometime late November. I've done Law Enforcement and now a federal security contractor. I am the rough parent because my wife is the soft one. Just looking around, seeing whats new in the parenting world (although I have raised hundreds of kids).

I don't know that you are being entirely fair Orlando. I think we are all pretty open to hearing advice or we probably wouldn't be asking questions I hope you find a place here and make many friends

I typed out "some" parents, not all. Some of the posts I've read are leading, which tells me some parents might not want advice... but are rather looking for other parents to tell them to keep doing what they are doing.

I've seen plenty of parents who play each other and create adveserial roles, no one suffers from this like the children do.
