This program is incredible! My son couldn't read after Kindergarten, so I got it last summer! His teacher predicted that he would never be able to keep up or catch up in first grade and that he would be held back because he could not read. Needless to say, we declined and resolved to teach him ourselves.... until we came across this program. When he started first grade, we had only completed Stage 2 lesson 3, but he is reading and his teacher is blown away by his improvement. My only regret is not being aware of this program when he was younger. It's simple to learn and use, and he read a lot in a short length of time words and a need for more! He is even penning words by sounding them out on his own. He reads and reads and reads
