Treats wouldn't work, School have tried that (everytime she goes out with a fully fastened up coat, she gets an extra 10mins on computer), they say that if she doesn't want to do something, nothing will change her mind, that is why they are forced to fasten it for her.

They don't want one child missing recess just for not following a simple rule. What annoys DD about being zipped by a teacher is, they fasten coat right up to top plus other kids tease her for being "the little baby girl that has to get fastened by a teacher".

They are trying to teach her that she has to follow the rules and that there will be rules all of her life that she will have to follow whether she agrees with them or not. I think that is not something that should be a rule in school, it should be up to the student. They need to worry about other more serious things.
