as long as you're actually trying there's no such thing as 'not good enough'. kids need to be loved more than they need xboxes and trips to fiji.

I agree with everyone else. When kids are young, say before one and half year old, they don't really remember much. My mom used to watch my son all the time when he was 3 months old, but when she was away for two weeks and came back, my son couldn't even recognize her, which made my mom sad. But after a couple of hours together, my son plays with her as before again. so focus on what you need to finish.
