I'm a screenwriter in the Pacific Northwest. In writing young adult characters (mainly in the 12-21 range), my only frame of reference is my own young adult days... which is a while ago.
I've joined the community hoping I can get some "real world" insight into how young adults speak these days. Their expressions, their slang and jargon. Every generation has its own way of talking!
I'll be posting a few questions, and I truly appreciate any insights and answers from all the moms and dads on the frontline of parenthood!
