Staph/OR Room...

I have a bump on my leg that I'm afraid is turning into/already is a staph infection. My wife has a c-section schedule for next Thursday. This will be a "deal breaker" huh? They won't let me in the OR or around my newborn baby will they?

I'm freaking out here.

The short answer it would be a good thing if they properly identified it prior. And took whatever precautions were necessary. One of those "ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" things. This can be very bad. Not to say it is or will be. Just that it has that kind of potential.

I have gotten pretty good at self diognosis. And while the WiKi on staph infection is not very good. I would still do a web search even describe the bump in the search bar.
