Technical question about email notices...

I'm not recieving them, though my control panel states that i should. is there a setting somewhere i'm missing?

only thing I can think of off the top of my head is are they going to your junk mail?

I believe email notices come from:
forumsupport@crowdgather.com
you could try adding that to your trusted senders.

just checked the email settings on your profile and it all looks good, so look for something hitting your spam filter is my best guess.

Nothing hitting the spam filter, i did recieve the activation emails without an issue. do you know of any other gmail users with this problem?

I do not. I use a hotmail account and get PM notices just fine. As a test, you could sign up a quick hotmail account, re-point your profile and see what you get...at leastt that would tell you if the problem is gmail related.

hmm.. havnt had hotmail in a very long time. might not be a bad idea though. i'll run that race and report back.

no email yet. IAD have you had emails come through about your subscribed threads? i imagine you've turned that off considering your position.

If you go to your subscribed threads under the Quick Links list, next to each of your subscribed threads there should be a category titled "Notification" - what does it say next to each of the threads under that category? Mine all say "none" because I choose not to receive notifications. If yours says "none", just check the little boxes next to every thread you'd like notifications for and go down to the bottom where you will find a drop box where you can select "Instant email notification" or whatever you like. If they all already say that you have notification then I'll have to do more thinking.

They do indeed show "immediate" as a status. im a little perplexed, but it may be a temporary thing. someone else said they no longer recieved email notices.

thats pretty interesting.. i havnt heard of anyone getting the notifications yet... maybe theres a problem behind the scenes?

Check if you disabled them by accident.

I haven't received notifications in months. Actually, this issue was already reported in June, here...

hmm. not much of an outcry i do check pretty often so its not crippling or anything, but one of those wonderful conveninces of the internet i suppose.
