Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ie: the score that is used to apply to universities in Australia, as admissions for most courses are anonymous)
I am so proud of both of them. The scores are out of 100 (well, 99.99, apparently 100 is impossible)
Dita got 87.98
Violet got 98.01 (and college dux of her school, which is our equivalent of valedictorian, she is a little disappointed though that she didn't make the "elite" group of the state - those who got 99.00 or higher, she was aiming for it)
Apparently the average score for girls this year was 66, and 64 for boys.
Both are ecstatic and very hopeful though, as they both have met minimum consideration score for their first choice courses they applied for, so they will both be eligible for their first choice schools/courses (96.00 for Violet's course and 80.50 for Dita's)
They also get a score out of 50 for each individual subject, Dita got a 49 for Food Technology and a 47 for Music Performance. Violet got top level scores for all her subjects, a perfect score for Mathematical Methods and Chemistry, 49 for English, and 47 for Specialist Mathematics and Biology.
So proud of both of them.
Now we have the long wait until next month for first round university offers.
