I just nailed a spammer right after he posted. I was able to ban him and delete the spam post before anyone noticed. So, here's a pattern that I've found.

I usually hang out in the section where you can view members that are online. That page should refresh once every 30 seconds or so. Xero, it will be a bit more difficult for you since you're on dial up.

Alot of spammers are actually spambots from overseas. They're randomly generated and aren't actually human beings, but computer programs. So, they can be predictable. You'll see that A LOT of them have the ICQ symbol (the little green flower looking thing) beside their name. If they have the ICQ symbol, they have a bit of an off-beat username, and they were able to successfully activate their registration, they're probably a spambot. Watch what they're doing and you'll be able to nail them right after they post.
