I for one think that the chicken pox vac is a waste of time. I think we've goneway to far with this one. It has to be boostered you're whole life or you are at risk. w/o insurance this is quite costly and as you get older your risks are much higher if you do get the chicken pox. Seems to me giving this vac to your child is a lot risker than actually having the chicken pox.
I agree Fallon, also it puts all of us at risk as well. Without the cp virus going around it increases our risks of getting shingles as adults.
jtee, well religiously, some Christians (others as well maybe) believe that God is all the protection our bodies need. There are also aborted fetus tissue in many vaccine, so pro-lifers and others as well believe this is morally wrong to inject into our children. I know Christian Scientists are one group for the God protextion only, Catholics are big with the fetuses. When you get a religious waiver though, you do not need to state your religion or have it signed by a pastor or priest verifying your religion.
They make it hard though, to get these waivers you must complete the process every year your child attends public or private schools, and college as well.
Medical are also yearly unless your doctor specifically states it is a lifetime waiver. Most docs will not do this though since they get money from vaccine comapanies.
We will not be able to get a medical waiver for Nichole even though she had a severe reaction to the vaccines. We were told that yes she had a reaction, yes it was severe, but if they give her the vaccine at a hospital they are comfortable if she has an anaphylactic shock episode including throat swelling and closing or seizures.
I am so glad they are comfortable with my child having seizures and not being able to breathe, aren't you?

I absolutely believe in keeping things in God's hands. I also believe that vaccinating should be the parent's decision based on their beliefs. However, Hannah has had all of the recommended vaccinations by her pediatrician. This is the man that I trust when she is sick. I take his advice a lot! If she is sick, I give her the medicine to make her better. But what parent wouldn't want to take their child's place when they ARE sick? I know I feel SO bad for her when she doesn't feel well. If vaccinations will prevent her from getting some illness, I will happily oblige.

again Yulla, You an't just post links like this, no one is going to read them in a deabte. If you want to put this in the education section, that would be much better.

In a report last night on the CBS evening news it has come to light the CDC may have been helping FEMA cover up the levels of formaldehyde in the trailors given to Katrina victims. But did you know that exact ingredient is in many vaccines that are given to babies, toddlers, children and occasionally adults? So I have to ask if this Dr of toxicology in the CDC says there are no safe levels of formaldehyde, will they then remove this chemical from the vaccines or will it go under the radar as only being safe when it's injected with other neurotoxins and chemical cocktails?
