So early morning on the 6th I woke up in some extreme discomfort, but I thought maybe it was just because I slept on a surface that was harder than what I would have liked to sleep on. So I got up and layed on the couch and waited and by the time my mother and husband got up, they were pretty rhythmic and so my mother drove us to the hospital that morning. But because they were not completely rhythmic they didn't think I was in active labor and so it was considered just early stages of labor. However,my doctor didn't want me to go over 39 weeks and because I was already close to hitting 39 weeks, she induced me. I was on an the gel all during the 6th until 4AM on the 7th when they switched me to the drip. Then by later that morning I had my water broken and by 12:22 she was born. She was 7 pounds 1 ounce when she was born and 19.5 inches long. I'll be posting pictures soon to show everyone.
