Are you saying if some americans broke an International law in Australia and Australian authorities contacted the US and had them arrested and extradited to Australia you would have a problem with that?

Ok Ok. For anyone who does not understand. Here is the lite version;

Trader Jones gives Uhura a tribble as a gift. It is cute and seems harmless. Uhura beams it aboard the ship and the crew falls in love with the tiny furry things that calmly purr. Quickly they begin to multiply as doctor McCoy would comment later. "Tribbles are born pregnant" This is a problem. Any time they try to work on a warp drive: or beam up a chocolate shake in the cafeteria. The tribbles make their screens show Klingon porn. Which makes the Tribbles scream .

On November 8, the FBI, the NASA-OIG , The Space Federation, and Estonian police arrested ( joint team) Trader Jones in “Operation Ghost Click” But the ship had not yet been cleared of tribbles. They just know that Trader Jones was not giving away any more Tribbles. But it was on everyone else to get rid of the tribbles.

The Federation flew a ship around space with a huge banner that read "Feed The Tribbles Grain. Kirk fed grain to the Tribbles which killed most of them ( He subsequently beemed the rest to the Klingon ship as a kinda funny thing) But many ships and planets ignored the banner. Not a big deal most of the time. But with the tribbles: they are small enough that they could be beamed back and forth from ships to planets or visa versa.

The big picture problem was when they get on board "mother ships" or the "Brain Bugs caves" Well that is a whole different situation. Because when you get Tribbles in the Brain bugs computer it clears their mine-sweep high scores which makes them mad. Or we all know what happens when a mother ship goes down: The baby and sibling ships crash. Also having Klingon porn on the space traffic controller screens it causes them begin driving ships into one another at warp 3. Which if you dont have your seat belt on in a warp 3 wreck. <I>You can stick your head between you legs and kiss you butt byby.</I>

So the FBI, the NASA-OIG and cooperating agencies: Said we are not going to deal with Klingon porn on our Nuclear bomb screens or space traffic controller screens. And if we did it would be porn from the planet with the green girls who have a dozen boobies. We already have enough trouble with them guys updating their Face Book status all day long. Then manager Darth keeps chocking them out with his finger.

So they decided that They would feed grain to Tribbles themselves. And even though everyone thought it would be funny sending them to the Klingon ships. They had to die.

Finally it was decided they were too tired and it was nap time anyway so just let Spock or the American FBI just arrest them. Because everybody knows that a bored American FBI: Is a bad American FBI. And Spock just doesn't like them.

Servers were in Chicago and New York. Estonians were arrested in Estonia by Estonian authorities.
The FBI didnt have to provide proper DNS servers, it did it so a bunch of clueless individuals wouldnt lose their internet. Which they will when they do shut it down this summer.

I will have to respectfully disagree with this. As an individual who does computers for a living (currently corporate server systems), I find that the stuff you pay for is really no better than some of the ones you can find for free on the internet. I personally use AVG Anti-Virus (free edition) and have for years. I find that Norton is extremely resource heavy and drastically reduces the performance of your system.

Another key is simply being smart. It doesn't matter what A/V you have...if you surf the internet like a 13 year old boy who just found out about the latest craze in downloading illegal music or heard about where he can look at boobs, then you're likely going to get infected. Be smart.

I too use AVG free edition and love it. I was leary at first, but think it's great now. I used Norton for many years and found that it reduced my computer's performance just like you said. My son is the computer wiz here and set all three computers up with AVG we haven't had a virus with it ever, that I can remember anyway although I did get a virus with Norton.

I am saying that if any other federal police of any other country took over repairing this, to a point where people in other countries will lose internet connection there would be people up in arms, hypothetical, completely, but I cannot see how it would not happen.

I do get what Cybele is saying and in many cases this would be true. Only if I remember correctly the servers came from the US? no? In that case it means that we aren't over stepping any bounds.

Really though, why would anyone want to continue to work on servers that are "faulty" and pose a risk anyways?

See, and there lies the basic misunderstanding of the WHOLE THING. They (FBI) had the bad DNS servers rerouted to good ones that they set up so people who still didnt fix their computers WOULD NOT LOSE INTERNET. They are taking those down now because people should have had enough time to fix their computers and its a waste of resources. They were doing idiots a favor.

If someone does you a favor and holds a door open for you because you have your hands full, are they then obligated to follow you around the rest of your life holding doors open for you?
