    about afterschool...

Guys, I asked. It is no more than baby sitting. It doesn't require degree, but a certificate. The school said, most time, there were no more than 20 kids there. So one instructor is enough. I wonder how come most families don't need after school.

    about afterschool...

Oh, it's a baby sitter? I thought there is some education stuff in it. At least they should let kids do their homework and read, right? My daughter is in K. The afterschool is for K-5th. Will they separate them by grade?

    about afterschool...

I read about my kid's school's after school program and am very confused. It has only 1 instructor, but accepts up to 100 kids. 1:100! :( Is this true? I also read that instructor's bio. She even has no degree. Is she qualified? Are your afterschools all like this? But we will be...

Which one is better for 5-yr girl, Karate or Taekwondo?...

She wants violin instead of piano. There is a girl in her class playing violin. (5 yr too. That girl actually started at the age of 3.) My daughter was so "jealous" that she asked for violin too. I told her piano is easier. But she wouldn't listen.:p I just worried that probably she doesn't have...

Which one is better for 5-yr girl, Karate or Taekwondo?...

Thanks for the professional information! What I was wondering is whether hearing can be trained? You know, when some people sing, they can never find the right tone. How can they make the right sound in violin? If a kid doesn't have good ears, is it better to learn piano?

Which one is better for 5-yr girl, Karate or Taekwondo?...

He must have good music gene. I heard that cello/violin/viola are harder than any key board instrument like piano.

Which one is better for 5-yr girl, Karate or Taekwondo?...

Did your son learn violin first or directly start cello? That sounds a very cool instrument, requiring very good ears though.

Which one is better for 5-yr girl, Karate or Taekwondo?...

Twice a week is a lot if the kid has other activities. I asked a Karate place nearby. 40minutes /week, $58/mo. Seems acceptable. I'm thinking about starting a music intrument too, but haven't decided.
