I know right? That seems most important to me.

On a side note.. if Oprah were the pope... would that make her Poperah?
yes, I believe it would, and since we've derailed this most serious of topics, perhaps Dr Phil should have a show on this...

Actually, it sounds like something they'd tackle on "The Doctors."

(Or better yet, MythBusters...I'd love to see what they'd do with this."

Someone should come up with a treat called "Boogers" that tastes like boogers.

Something kind of salty that is chewy on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside, perhaps.

What do boogers taste like? I can't think of anything that compares well to boogers. They are perhaps a unique gastronomic experience.

Certain nut meats are close. hearty tasting and slightly salty.

"Stefan Gates[/URL] in his book Gastronaut discusses eating dried nasal mucus, and says that 44% of people he questioned said they had eaten their own dried nasal mucus in adulthood and said they liked it"

44% of adults probably don't eat most fruits and veggies.
"dried nasal mucus," sounds like and ingredient. I think I'll be reading my ingredient lists a little more closely. Although frankly it sounds no worse than "Evaporated cane juice."

I notice that re-direction is often recommended here to get kids to change their behavior. So a treat called Boogers could be a fine parenting product for re-direction from eating boogers.

Or how about this recipe for Nose with Boogers:

Ingredients:

One baguette or bread loaf nose (i.e. end)
Crunchy peanut butter

Gouge out 2 nostrils from the nose. Fill with peanut butter.

I've picked my nose and offered it to them, but apparently THAT is disgusting!
My one year old would probably eat it. He eats everything. :)
