i agree w/ya fallon. when a child is ill or has any sort of health issue--be it mental or whatever, it shouldn't matter what the problem is--insurance should cover it.fallon said:Thanks for the update bssage. I'm glad your little girl is going to get the care she needs. I still think it's to bad the insurnace system hasn't changed enough to regonize autistic children though
yeah, I guess I didn't really mean therapist My girlfriend's son is 4 and autistic, he goes to an early intervention program and there's a team of specialists there that usually help her when things like this come up for them. Here in MI these programs are offered through the school system so I was wondering if she did somthing like that.bssage said:No we dont travel much. She only says words and things not sentences. She really doesnt speak convesationally. So I dont think a therapist could help. Its a part of the Autism. Its just so freakin (U*(^&*%^^$%^$$
That must be frustrating for everyone, I hope things get better.bssage said:Thanks I appreciate the support.
Things have taken a turn for the worse since the appointment. Since we returned we have had major meltdown every night without exception.
At bedtime every night she is completely melting down. Banging her head on walls, floors, with her fists, knees. She starts screaming wont go in our bed, her bed, just standing in the middles of the living room floor. We cant pick her up, get her a drink, put on a favorite show, hold her. And we have no idea why. We dont know if she feels bad, fighting sleep, Scared of something. We dont know what to do. We dont know what the problem is.
We are unable to stop it. Its driving everyone crazy. The amount of family stress is very high right now. It last for around three to four hours or until she completely exaust herself. We all feel utterely helpless and frustrated.
7 days and counting.
