Enjoying this while I can! DD (13) is usually high maintenance and quite the DQ (drama queen), but for the past few months has been polite, friendly, loving and helpful. Not sure what to think. Hormones, maturity, change in friends? NOT complaining, for sure!

Mixed emotions... My DD just turned 12 last month and recently had her very first period. I knew it was coming and we've had lots of chats, so she knew what to expect, but I have such mixed emotions. Joyful and proud of her budding womanhood, yet sad to lose my little girl. *sigh*

Going barefoot... Ah, the joys of summer! This time of year I'm barefoot as often as possible and wear flip flops or sandals if footwear is required. DD is the same. The two of us don't understand how DH and DS have to wear shoes and socks ALL summer long. :eek: It's too darn HOT! My feet need...
